Regional Communications Practice Director
1 subordinate (Asia Specialist)
Reporting to the Executive Director of Field Strategy Support AP, and functional reporting line to the Worldwide Head.
*Asia & Pacific region includes: Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Pakistan, India, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand)
Major objectives:
- to proactively identify, qualify and drive sales activities in the AP region in the Telco/Communications market
- to ensure a constant organic growth in terms of FYF
- to help develop local communications practice and regional network
- to work as a global practice member on all practice programs related to sales, marketing, development, partner alliances and analyst relations.
Required sales skills and expectations
- Must have AP-Level experience
- Experience in building, managing and executing pipeline
- Excellent in building customer networks especially with senior executives
- Significant hands-on sales experience
- Excellent track record of developing compelling proposals to win business
- Excellent track record of successful prospecting
- Excellent knowledge of building and developing account strategies
- Excellent knowledge of the breadth of offerings of responsibility and the value they deliver
- Excellent knowledge of the competition
- Excellent knowledge of building and developing international account strategies and coordination
- Manages virtual international account teams
- Motivates sales and pre-sales force and shows excellent leadership
Required Telco/Communcations domain skills and expectations:
- Excellent understanding of the industry in general
- Excellent understanding of the industry trends and transformation
- Excellent understanding of Asia Pac telco/communications markets – with all specifics and dynamics
- Excellent understanding of the selected business areas: Network and OSS Systems
- Confidence in discussing business objectives with C-level and other management
- Strong skills in building value propositions and client visions
- Experience in delivery processes

- Experience in building/developing local/regional sales practices
- Experience in aligning different organizations (departments) around common goals (building go-and-get teams)
- Experience of working in AP markets
Location: preferably Singapore or Hong Kong to optimize travel and time but Japan or Korea also possible.

Candidate’s Profile
• 15-20 years of business experience
• Has worked for a carrier (preferably) or Communications Practice with major Consulting or Vendor organization – minimum 5-7 years
• Has worked in sales management position with multi M and international sales target
• Has managed a complex organization/team in a matrix structure
• Has worked in international environment with a lot of travel involved
