The Group provides each major business in the company with a dedicated team that works closely with that business to understand its particular technology needs.
The Hong Kong business is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Hong Kong ITS Support. The successful applicant will provide first and second level support for the office.
Covering Trading, Back & Middle Office businesses as well as Corporate, Banking and Research businesses. You will provide a high level of technical support to the office and follow up problems which are escalated to 3rd line support teams in Asia regions, as required
Working within a small Asia based team, primary responsibilities of this challenging position will be to provide effective first level and second level support for the above business areas . Key accountabilities will include:
• Ad-hoc troubleshooting and support for user queries;
• Extensive intra-bank liaison, especially the business areas;
• Local Vendor Management;
• Managing small projects on a day to day basis;
• Support and problems solving of Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Ability to troubleshoot simple networking issues, including TCP/IP and IPX protocol knowledge;
• Ability to troubleshoot and do first level telephony support for PABX, Dealer Board and voice recording systems.
• Ongoing support of local Market Rates services, trading systems, market feeds and clearing systems,
• Assistance with upgrades and rollout of new software;
Applicants will have several years technical experience in fast paced working environments, Ideally including experience in Banking and Trading Room environments, however this is not essential.
They should possess a sound understanding of Microsoft operating systems and products. A working knowledge Market Data services
e.g. Bloomberg and Reuters products and knowledge of trading and clearing system is highly desirable.
A strong customer service focus and the ability to deliver quality support are key to this role. Other skills include:

• The flexibility to deal with conflicting and ever changing priorities; and
Ability to work flexible hours and varying shifts including a willingness to work overtime and be available for weekend work when required.
