Join the Business Planning & Operations (BPO) group and be part of a world class team responsible for mission critical marketing and business processes, systems, tools and data to drive increased efficiency and effectiveness. The BPO group is the business center of excellence for cross-subsidiary business planning, market intelligence, systems/tools resources and assets across Segments and Business Groups (BG’s) to drive clear business & marketing insights that result into cohesive strategic and growth oriented business initiatives.
As a Market Intelligence Manager, you will enable decision-makers within the subsidiary to make informed decisions, scope and size market-making opportunities, and identify threats by generating, analyzing and delivering market insights and trends, conducting market research, and making strategic recommendations. The role is a key contributor to subsidiary planning and prioritization, growth modeling and opportunity sizing, and longer term strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
o Managing MI rhythm and delivering external market insights that impact decisions – with a focus on trends, implications, and recommendations, as well as opportunities and threats to the subsidiary with respect to:
o Market conditions (macro economic and political influences)
o IT Market Trends (HW, SW and Services markets)
o The company’s addressable markets, ecosystem and audience sizing
o Supporting Mid Year Review, Budget Planning and overall Rhythm of the Business process. You will be responsible for defining the scope of GCR MI databooks and working with external vendors to deliver the data. You will provide State of the Market analysis decks for MYR and Planning, and also support BGs and segments to obtain ad hoc market data/analysis needed through desk research, primary research, etc. You will also contribute to the SoB, Server and Compete slides in MYR deck
o Delivering high-level corporate insights on key competitors. Good intelligence required for the company’s key competitors to enable LT, BG and segment to build targeted plans to win over competitors. Validate and provide qualitative market context to support the share discussion managed by the company’s corporate.
o Driving GCR and PRC MI planning and operational excellence. Delivering and executing on an annual Market Intelligence Plan that is fully aligned with subsidiary priorities and goals, and close key knowledge gaps identified in planning. Manage GCR and PRC MI budget and vendor engagements with budget efficacy. Maintain and promote an online repository of market intelligence, leveraging regional/area and corporate resources, systems and tools, wherever possible
o Local and global research management and support. Lead all major market primary and secondary research projects and investments within China and/or GCR, including regional and/or global trackers and syndicated research. Liaise with corporate and regional counterparts to share best practices and leverage all resources.
o Providing Market Intelligence discipline expertise, including the development of a research brief and commissioning process for ad hoc projects, ensuring these are conducted in compliance with privacy and IP policies as well as market research norms and standards.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have proven solid market research experiences in at least one multinational company and demonstrated successful track record in driving business management and maket intelligence and insights and be able to collaborate with various departments to achieve mutual success. Specific qualifications include:
o A minimum of 7 years research experiences in at least one multinational company that includes market research, project management and analytical job. Candidates with both agency and client side experiences preferred.
o Strong analytical and interpretation skills and demonstrated capabilities in strategic and logical thinking and a track record of positive contribution to business decisions will be preferred.
o Technology industry, public policy and international experience highly desirable.
o Excellent teamwork and communications and presentation skills. Should be able to work in high pressure environment.
o Education: Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred
o Language: excellent oral and written Chinese and English.
